Whose poetry celebrates the Yukon Gold Rush?

In the 1890s the Gold Rush drew thousands of miners to the Yukon. The poet Robert W. Service wrote about those days. Mining still counts for a lot in the territory's economy. In 1900 the White Pass and Yukon Railway opened. It runs from Skagway, in neighbouring Alaska, to Whitehorse, the territorial capital. Today it carries tourists on a spectacular ride over steep passes and high bridges. Yukon also holds Canada's record for cold: -63C, the lowest temperature ever recorded in the country.
