Overview

Canada Citizenship Exam Prep ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to both our website and iOS app.

What We Collect

Data stored on your device

All your study progress, test history, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.

• Your quiz results and scores
• Study progress and preferences
• Streak and daily goal tracking

This data stays on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours for it to be sent to. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

Analytics

The app contains no analytics SDK. Your study progress, results and scores never leave your device, and we have no way of knowing who you are or what you scored.

This website uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages people find useful. These set cookies and record page views, clicks and scrolling so we can see where the site is confusing. They do not receive your name or email, because we never ask for either.

Advertising

The free version of the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. If you allow tracking when prompted, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show personalised ads. If you decline, only non-personalised ads are shown. Premium subscribers see no ads.

Subscriptions

Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and tells the app only whether a subscription is active. We never see your name, payment details or Apple ID.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address, or phone number
• Your location
• Your contacts
• Your browsing history
• Your Apple ID or any login credentials
• Your study progress, results or scores — these never leave your device

Your Rights

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete on request. Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) — and under the UK/EU GDPR if you are reading this from there — you can still:

• Access your data — all of it is visible in the app
• Delete your data — Settings → Reset Progress, or uninstall the app
• Object to processing — decline the tracking prompt, and AdMob serves only non-personalised ads
• Withdraw consent — iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Third-Party Services

That is the whole list. The app carries only the first two rows; the website carries the last three and shows no ads at all.

Data Retention

• App data: stored on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
• Ad data: per Google's retention policy
• Website analytics: per Google's and Microsoft's retention policies
