10.4.1 The Prairie Provinces

Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta form the Prairie Provinces. They hold a great deal of energy wealth, and some of the most fertile farmland on the planet. The land is mostly dry. Winters are cold and summers are hot, a much bigger swing than you feel on either coast. Farming and energy explain most of what happens across this region, so carry those two words with you through all three provinces.
